Thursday Is World Tapas Day
June 16 is World Tapas Day and Turespaña will be simultaneously celebrating it around the globe, including in Toronto.
World Tapas Day pays homage to tapas, Spain’s beloved small dishes that are a staple of Spanish cuisine and an iconic element of its culture.
To highlight World Tapas Day in Toronto, the Tourist Office of Spain will hold a special gastronomic street event on June 16 at the Dynamic Funds Towers, located on 1 Adelaide St. E., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Admission is free and inside local restaurants and vendors will be serving tapas inspired by Spanish gastronomy, priced from $2 to $7 per item, as well as Spanish beer and wine.
Along with this event, the Tourist Office of Spain has launched a special Facebook contest to win a trip to Spain and many other prizes to celebrate World Tapas Day with all its followers.
