TICO Board Approves 26 Claims

On May 31, 2022, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s (TICO’s) Board of Directors approved 26 claims against the Ontario Travel Compensation Fund totalling $70,056 to assist 46 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.

The approved Ontario Travel Compensation Fund claims are as follows:

• Fly Jamaica Airways — 5 claims to assist 6 consumers, totalling $4,737
• Jet Airways — 5 claims to assist 6 consumers, totalling $4,049
• Sunmed Holidays Inc. — 16 claims to assist 34 consumers, totalling $61,271
