TICO Conviction

After being charged by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO), Raed Karborani, operating as Biblical Journeys Canada, has pleaded guilty to one count of operating as a travel agent without registration, contrary to the Travel Industry Act.

Since being charged in June 2019, Biblical Journeys Canada applied for and was found qualified to be registered with TICO. There were no allegations of consumer harm in this matter.

Karborani was put on probation for two years, and as an alternative to a fine payable to the municipality, is required to make a $2,000 charitable donation to a registered charity of his choice.
