Tokyo Tourism announces annual travel agent webinar

The Tokyo Tourism Representative Office is hosting its annual travel agent webinar, entitled “Connecting with Tokyo in a Meaningful Way,” on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. EST.

Says Shin Kawai, director of the Tokyo Tourism Representative Office, Canada, “Last year, the number of visitors from Canada to Japan reached nearly 580,000. Today, Tokyo ranks among the most popular destinations for Canadian travellers. For this webinar, I have invited two journalists who recently covered Tokyo to share the latest updates on the city, which is constantly evolving and reinventing itself. We will also introduce sample itineraries centred around the theme of adventure and wellness.”  

Viewers will hear from Steve Gillick of Talking Travel, who recently returned from his 22nd trip to Japan, about accommodations, dining and activities. Khaled Iwamura, CEO and founder of INsauga.com and yourcitywithIN.com, will share the “top 5s” in Tokyo’s culinary scene.
