Tour recounts D-Day and its Canadian role

It will have been 69 years to the day that the 3rd Canadian Division landed on Juno Beach on June 6th, 1944 and DHTour of Burlington, Ont., has a tour departing Canada on June 3rd that will include being at the Canadian Juno Beach Centre for the ceremonies on June 6. The tour will also follow the Canadians from Normandy to the Liberation of Holland, with visits to Dieppe and the World War 1 sites around Vimy Ridge and Flanders Fields. Accommodations for nine nights are in three- or four- star hotels, with daily breakfast and nine dinners. Admissions to all major sites are included and the tour is led by an experienced tour manager. Pricing is $3,190 per person, sharing a twin room with a single room supplement of $550. Group air is available at $1,374, all taxes included. DHTour also offers a similar tour in November that will be at the Menin Gate on Nov. 11, Remembrance Day.
