Tourism HR Canada hosting info session on wage assistance

Tourism HR Canada and Baxter Media are hosting a travel webcast on June 6 at 1 p.m. EDT to inform travel professionals about the benefits of the Propel Student Work Placement Program.

Propel is a federally funded work program that offers travel, tourism and hospitality employers access to wage subsidies to hire a post-secondary student for an internship, co-op placement, or work experience placement.

The virtual information session will highlight what work-integrated learning is and its benefits for businesses, how to apply for the program, and how Tourism HR Canada can support employers.

The wage subsidy can be accessed by different businesses within the tourism sector including accommodations, food and beverage services, recreation and entertainment, transportation, and travel services. The Propel team will expand on eligibility during the session.

For those looking to connect with early talent ready to apply their skills and education, this Travel Webcast is not to be missed.
