TPI, TIC Partner

Travel Professionals International (TPI) and TIC Travel Insurance Coordinators (TIC) have launched a new partnership and three-year exclusive agreement.

Starting Aug. 1, TPI will offer TIC’s suite of existing and customized travel insurance products through the country’s largest network of independent travel advisors.

“We are excited to be working with TIC,” says Tim Morgan, vice-president, TPI. “We chose them because we feel they are committed to achieving the same thing that we are – success for our travel advisors through value-added product offerings.”

TIC values strong relationships and is committed to working with its partners to develop their travel insurance business, including the choice and flexibility TIC offers in products that cater to both mass market and niche travellers. In addition, TPI also liked that TIC has the strength of the Co-operators Group of Companies behind them and over 50 years’ experience helping travellers in an emergency.

“Above all, we’ve been impressed by TIC’s people and culture. We’ve felt a genuine warmth and personality from them that makes it easy to work toward our common goal,” added Morgan. “We’re looking forward to working with TIC to deliver exceptional experiences to our advisors and their clients.”

TIC is just as excited about the partnership. For them, it’s an opportunity to assist travel advisors in increasing their business through educating more people about how travel insurance can help protect the client’s priceless investment.

“We care about and believe in the growth of the travel agent market,” says Gino Riola, vice-president, Business Development and Marketing, TIC. “By partnering with TPI, it’s clear that we value their role in advising and guiding travellers and that they can count on us to fully support their business success.”
