Transat invests in agents

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is continuing to invest in its educational program following a 96% participation rate by its employees in TDC’s professional online sales training modules that were launched in the fall of 2011. This cutting-edge program has been developed by a Canadian leader in e-learning design and technology and is a first in the travel industry. Due to the popularity of this online training program , TDC is now adding two more which have been in development by a team of experts including Nolan Burris, a well-known industry expert: Revenue Opportunities: How professional travel consultants maximize revenues; and Professional Fees: Presenting the professional travel consultant value in relation to a service. Yves Lalumiere, president of TDC, observed: “We know that education is paramount for the professional travel consultant and our members continue to engage at every level with training provided by TDC. Last year, we had over 6000 training interactions with our members ranging from week long training academies to webinars and classrooms. Every one of our educational events is sold out because members see the results.” With the addition of the two new e-learning modules, TDC now offers 10 unique subjects designed specifically for its members.
