KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA REVS UP MARKETING EFFORTS IN CANADA WITH VoX INTERNATIONAL
Experience
Kissimmee has chosen VoX International Inc., as its marketing agency to
promote the Central Florida destination in Canada. Under the direction
of Experience Kissimmee, the firm will be responsible for developing and
implementing a marketing plan, providing a strategic direction in
sales, public relations and promotions for this important international
market. More Canadians are heading down south to take in the beautiful
state of Florida. Kissimmee is in close proximity to major theme parks,
spectacular nature trails, championship golf courses and many other
outdoor attractions. Kissimmee proves to be a destination to explore,
relax and unwind.

EXPERIENCE KISSIMMEE
The
tourism sales and marketing arm of Osceola County, Florida, has
re-branded itself to better align with the destination’s strategic goals
and to reach the new generation of travelers. The county tourism
promotional agency’s new name, “Experience Kissimmee,” is a call to
action to travelers planning to visit Central Florida. The re-branding
is expected to connect with the consumer on a personal level and help
communicate the uniqueness of Kissimmee to current and future
generations, setting up the destination for the years to come. Research
suggests that when it comes to travel, decision makers range in age from
mid-20s to 40s and tend to look for destinations that offer more
options and a variety of experiences.

The
new name also comes with a new logo and branding campaign with a fresh
and modern look that will be executed domestically and internationally.
The rollout will take place in December 2012 and continue into 2013,
touching all markets including domestic leisure, sports, meetings and
international. Experience Kissimmee as an organizational name was chosen
following a survey shared with Kissimmee tourism industry partners and
consumers. “Experience” was the word that resonated most.

NEW ATTRACTIONS BRING EVEN MORE MAGIC TO DISNEY
When choosing Kissimmee as a home base for a
Central Florida vacation, the action is right next door at Walt Disney
World® Resort. Canadians will want to be at the Parks this year in
particular, as they get set to debut brand new attractions and
experiences.

THE NEW FANTASYLAND
The
attraction everyone has been talking about opened last month at Magic
Kingdom. As guests pass through Cinderella Castle, they will find
themselves at the gates of the New Fantasyland. Take a stroll through
Belle’s provincial town where the beauty herself retells the classic
“tale as old as time” with the help of Lumiere. From there, grab a cool
drink at Gaston’s Tavern where Lefou’s Brew is flowing and antlers hang
from every inch of the wall. Guests wander into the enchanted forest,
right onto the door step of Beast’s castle. Join him for dinner at “Be
Our Guest Restaurant,” where beautiful chandeliers hang from the painted
ceilings and outside snow falls steadily.

Just a short “swim” away, guests can join Ariel and her
friends on Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid. Board your clam
shell and dive to the depths of the ocean for a musical re-telling of
the “The Little Mermaid.” After your journey, swim over to Ariel’s
Grotto to meet the princess herself. More fun awaits in Storybook
Circus, inspired by Disney’s animated feature Dumbo. A colorful big-top
tent attracts guests to many exciting attractions. Take to the skies on
The Barnstormer featuring Goofy or the dual Dumbo The Flying Elephant
rides with a combined playground to keep the kids occupied while you
wait for your turn to ride.

 

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE LEGEND OF CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW
Become
immersed in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney’s Hollywood
Studios in their newest walk-through attraction Pirates of the
Caribbean: The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow.

TEST TRACK PRESENTED BY CHEVROLET 
There
is a brand new driving experience at Epcot. The latest update to Test
Track Presented by Chevrolet puts guests in both the driver’s seat and
design chair. Create your own virtual custom-concept vehicle and then
put it to the test through various terrains, hairpin turns and speeds of
up to 65 miles per hour. After the test drive, guests can see how well
they did by a digital driving table.
SPLITSVILLE LUXURY LANES  
Now
there are even more entertainment options at Downtown Disney with the
addition of Splitsville Luxury Lanes. Splitsville is a bowling alley
unlike any other, with delicious dining options including two sushi
bars, an outdoor dining area, live entertainment, 30 bowling lanes,
billiard tables and more. At this bowling alley, there is plenty of fun
to be had, without even picking up a bowling ball. A combination of
modern and retro elements give Splitsville a comfortable yet
sophisticated feel, perfect for a night out.
