TravelBrands Responds To Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis

TravelBrands is committing its support to the humanitarian efforts to help those impacted both in Ukraine and in surrounding countries in response to the ongoing crisis there.

The company said that it believes this is a critical time for the industry to stand together in unity with the global community.

To set this in motion, TravelBrands is donating $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross – Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis.

In addition, the company will also be donating $5 of every booking made and is calling upon Canadian tour operators to take similar actions now.

Frank DeMarinis, CEO of H.I.S-Red Label Vacations Inc., said: “I am deeply troubled by the invasion of Ukraine and the devastation to all those affected by this heartbreaking situation.”

DeMarinis continued: “Not only is it our responsibility, but it is our duty as an organization to speak up and to take action. We challenge our travel industry partners to also contribute in any way possible, as a demonstration of solidarity.”

And he added: “This is a time for collective compassion, and we all need to take steps to strengthen unity, togetherness, and peace both in our own communities and internationally.”

As well, and effective immediately, TravelBrands has removed all travel products and services related to Russia including tours, hotels, and flights. Internally, they are encouraging staff to make their own contributions to these efforts and are offering continued support through various Employee Assistance Program resources.
