Travellers Invited to Korea Grand Sale

The 2018 Korea Grand Sale, an annual shopping and cultural tourism festival targeting international tourists, runs from Jan. 18 to Feb. 28.

The festival features a wide range of exclusive discounts and benefits on shopping, flights and transportation, accommodations, dining, tourist attractions, entertainment and more.

In order to draw tourist attention, companies are offering special discounts exclusively during the Korea Grand Sale. For instance, tourists who booked more than two nights on the Lotte Hotel official website will receive a Lotte Duty Free Shop voucher worth KRW40,000. Other special discounts include 30% off on Lotte World Amusement Park and JUMP non-verbal performance, as well as buy one get one free on selected K-Travel Bus Tours.

The upcoming Korea Grand Sale overlaps with the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.

With 2018’s theme is a Special Winter Festival, offering various experiences and entertainment with themes of winter sports, night life in Korea, K-Culture, K-Food and more. Ski resorts, ice rinks, indoor snow parks, local restaurants and tourist spots will be participating to offer benefits and promote unique Korean experiences in Gangwon Province.

The Korea Tour Card, a tourist-exclusive transportation card used on Korea’s subway, buses, and taxis, will allow tourists additional savings at more than 2,000 locations countrywide. The card also offers discounts on the Airport Railroad Express (AREX), DMZ tour bus, car rentals and more.
