Travellers Invited to Discover ‘New’ Silver Shadow
Silversea Cruises will host an exclusive cruise on board the re-imagined Silver Shadow, hosted by Mark Conroy, managing director of The Americas, and Peter Shanks, UK & Ireland managing director.
Departing Dec. 10, this preview sailing in the Caribbean will allow guests to enjoy the enhanced comfort of the newly refurbished 388-guest Silver Shadow and take part in a number of bespoke events, hosted by Shanks and Conroy.
Inspired by the design of Silversea’s flagship Silver Muse, Silver Shadow’s extensive renovation includes the creation of a new Atrium area on deck 5, which will house the Arts Café, as well as major enhancements to many public spaces, including the remodelling and enlarging of guests’ favourite, La Dame restaurant; extensive renovation of Connoisseur’s Corner; and a remodelling of the Observation Library.
The ship’s spacious guest suites will undergo a floor-to-ceiling renovation, inspired by the elegant design and colour palette of Silver Muse. Vista and Veranda suites will benefit from a full renovation of all fixed and loose furniture, in addition to new lighting, carpets and headboards. Bathrooms will also be upgraded with new sinks and Silestone material. Silver Shadow’s Medallion, Silver, Grand and Royal suites will be upgraded with a new colour scheme and new materials, as per Silver Muse, while bathrooms will also undergo refurbishments.

Sailing aboard the intimate Silver Shadow for this special voyage will enable guests to journey through some of the Caribbean’s smallest and most iconic islands. Guests can discover Roseau with its distinctive architecture, the majestic pitons of St. Lucia or simply enjoy a swim in the turquoise waters of St. John’s Cruz Bay. While sailing on Silver Shadow, guests will have the opportunity to socialize with Peter Shanks and Mark Conroy through a series of events on board and discover more about Silversea.
The nine-night cruise departs Dec. 10 from San Juan and ports of call include Basseterre (Saint Kitts), Roseau (Dominica), St. George’s (Grenada), Castries (St. Lucia), St. John’s (Aruba and Barbuda), St John (US Virgin Islands) and Fort Lauderdale. Fares start from $5,600 per person. Fares include return flights (departing Dec. 9).
Guests who book and pay for their cruise before Aug. 30 will benefit from a one-category suite upgrade and $1,000 shipboard credit per suite. Plus, all guests who book this cruise by July 31 will receive a free shore excursion in every port on this sailing.
