TravelOnly recently hosted a hands-on training session on family travel for its agents at the Mimico Cruising Club in Toronto.

The session began with a presentation of TravelOnly’s new Family Travel Guide featuring tips and recommendations for family travel.

Over 40 TravelOnly associates were on hand for the event, as were representatives from Ensemble, TravelBrands, WestJet Vacations, Norwegian Cruise Line, Transat Holidays and Barcelo Hotels.

Each of the suppliers presented their exclusive offers and popular destination trends for families this coming season.

Maria Gibson, business development representative for Transat Holidays, observed that: “We are seeing a spike in multi-generational travel now. It’s no longer just the parents and kids; grandparents, even aunties and uncles, are joining the fun, spending quality time with the kids and even helping mom and dad to enjoy some “alone”time together.”

TravelOnly’s vice-president training, Holly McBean wound down the day with an interactive sales exercise to inspire the team and re-cap the day’s events.

“Our TravelOnly associates learned about the latest travel offers, not only from the Caribbean and Mexico, but also more niche products such as European tours, cruises and villas,” said Emily Crane, vice-president of supplier relations and business development. “Families are looking for that life-long memory to cherish together and TravelOnly is poised to provide all the options for families ready to book their winter travel plans.”

Gregory Luciani, president and CEO of TravelOnly, pointed out that: “In order to have the strongest sales team in the home-based travel business, ongoing training and support is a must. This session has been a great way to inspire and inform our team on where families want to go this coming holiday season, whether that’s a mountain ski adventure, a budget beach holiday or a ten-room villa in the heart of Italy.”
