Turkish Airlines Adds Wireless In-Flight Entertainment

Turkish Airlines has launched a new “Wireless In-Flight Entertainment System.,” now available on the carrier’s 44 narrow body aircraft, which have no seat-back screens, via passengers’ personal electronic devices.

“We keep striving to make our passengers’ entire journey more enjoyable with our passenger satisfaction focused approach. We are pleased to increase the availability of the in-flight entertainment system to 95% of our fleet,” said Turkish Airlines chairman of the board M. İlker Aycı. “This new system will enable our passengers to connect to the WiFi network via their personal electronic devices, and display the media content, specially designed for this system.”

To use the new entertainment system on personal devices (tablet, smartphone and notebook), the application named “Wi-Fi Entertainment” has to be installed on a passenger’s device before the flight. In addition, passengers will also be able to use the Wireless Entertainment System on their laptops by using the Google Chrome browser.

Through this Wireless In-flight Entertainment System, passengers can access more than 250 films, 700 TV Shows, 2,000 music albums, 19,000 songs and other media content.
