Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Tees Off at Glen Abbey 

The 11th Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup took place in Toronto on Aug. 26 and the stakes were high as the tournament winner would represent Toronto at the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Grand Finals in Türkiye.

Close to 180 avid golfers were on hand for the event which was held at the Glen Abbey Golf Club. The Toronto event was the 55th of 139 tournaments in this year’s Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, with those winning in each of the tournaments going on to compete in Grand Finals that will take place at the Gloria Golf Club; and they’ll also stay at the Gloria Serenity Resort on the Turkish Golf Coast.

Representing Toronto, Paul Pellegrini will represent Toronto after securing the champion position with 65 points, and Shivinder Singh was runner-up, while Joginder Bhatti came third.

The Closest to the Pin competition was won by Lara Sorguc for the women and Shivinder Singh for the men. The Gross award was won by Kash Dharni with a score of 72.
