Utah Website Helps Travellers Plan Ahead

The Utah Office of Tourism has launched a new website at www.visitutah.com that’s designed to inspire travellers and travel advisors to consider Utah for future travel, increase well-prepared visitation and improve the visitor experience.

Vicki Varela, managing director of the Utah Office of Tourism, explained that: “The COVID-19 pandemic has put an emphasis on travel planning and preparedness when visiting a destination. Through our redesigned visitutah.com, we hope to inspire travellers to visit Utah more thoughtfully and responsibly.”

The Utah Office of Tourism’s “Red Emerald” Strategic Plan encourages well-prepared, year-round visitation focusing on the quality of visits not just quantity of visitors. It encourages visitors to responsibly get off the beaten path and helps communities that want to attract more visitors to develop their destinations for tourism.

Said Varela: “Just like the red emerald gemstone, mined only in Utah, visiting the state and visitutah.com should be a unique, transformational experience that can’t be found elsewhere.”

The website includes new visuals that highlight Utah’s diverse, vast landscapes and go beyond the renowned red rock of Utah’s Mighty 5 National Parks and the Greatest Snow on Earth found at Utah’s 15 ski resorts; new site navigation points to more experiences and encourages deeper exploration; significantly improved data and technical capabilities engage users more effectively; safe travel tips including how to hire a guide to travel more remotely and responsibly throughout the state; and more detailed information about places to visit and suggested itineraries to help both visitors and travel advisors plan ahead.
