VIDEO GAME HISTORY ON SHOW AT PHOENIX ART MUSEUM

The Phoenix Art Museum has recently opened The Art of Video Games exhibit, which has travelled from the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The exhibition is one of the first to explore the 40-year evolution of video games, and it features some of the most influential artists and designers during five eras of game technology. Eighty games are featured, on 20 gaming systems, ranging from the Atari VCS to the PlayStation 3. The games are presented through still images and video footage, and demonstrate the evolution of the medium. The exhibition runs through Sept. 29. (http://www.phxart.org)
