Vision Acquires UNIGLOBE One Travel

Call it an ‘acquiring taste,’ but Vision Travel hammered out a deal to acquire UNIGLOBE One Travel, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The acquisition continues Vision Travel’s strategy to expand in key markets throughout Canada.

UNIGLOBE One Travel, a franchise of UNIGLOBE Travel (Western Canada), has been delivering innovative, customized and technology driven corporate travel solutions to prominent Canadian corporations and the SME market for over 25 years. They will continue to operate under the UNIGLOBE One Travel brand for a transition period.

Commenting on the agreement, David Kruschell, president of UNIGLOBE One Travel, said: “In getting to know Vision Travel and Direct Travel, we saw a great approach to travel management supported by an outstanding team”. We are excited about what the future holds for our employees and our clients.””

Kruschell will join the Vision Travel leadership team as senior vice president, Western Canada and Richard Gardner will join as vice president, technology.

Brian D. Robertson, president of Vision Travel (Ontario-West), commented: “We have known David, Richard and their team for many years and we are delighted to welcome them into the Vision Travel family. Their similar personalized approach to service in addition to an expanded suite of tools will position us to accelerate our growth in Western Canada.”

And Robertson added: “This purchase is a powerful addition to our organization and changes the landscape of travel within Canada. This positions us to service any client in North America and globally through Direct ATPI Global Travel.””

The agreement is scheduled to be finalized by April 4, 2018 subject to customary conditions.
