What Goes UP Must Come Down

toronto - Union Pearson (UP) Express

The provincial government is considering lowering fares on the UP Express trains that run from Union Station to Pearson International Airport in an attempt to increase sagging ridership numbers.

A news conference is scheduled for later today when officials are expected to announce the lower fares – rumoured to be about a $5 decrease.

A one-way fare for the UP Express – run by Metrolinx – costs $27.50, but those with Presto card can hop on for $19.
