Whistler Festival Celebrates Food and Drink

Cornucopia returns to Whistler, BC Nov. 7-17 with signature events designed to “please every taste bud, whet every appetite and quench every thirst” over the 11-day fall festival.

After 2018’s successful inaugural event at Audain Art Museum, Abstract returns this year with a new theme Abstract: Warhol Factory Party. The museum will be transformed into a new space inspired by the renowned Warhol Factory and guests are encouraged to dress in “Creative Cocktail” attire as the evening will include art, entertainment, dancing, food and drink.

Also new to the Cornucopia scene, Sashay, Fillet! Whistler, brings food, drink and drag together when talented west coast chefs paired up with an equally talented line-up of Canadian drag queens. Five exquisite canapé sections will be dotted around the ballroom while the main catwalk stage comes alive with performers. Chef and drag performers will work together through various culinary and performance based challenges and be eliminated one-by-one until a champion is crowned. The evening will be hosted by surprise personalities from two hit television shows, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Top Chef Canada.

Festival favourite Signature Tasting events including Signature Tasting: House Party: Best of BC, Signature Tasting: Cellar Door Grand Tasting, Signature Tasting: Crush Grand Tasting, Signature Tasting: With a Twist Silent Disco, Signature Tasting: Night Market: Taste of the World, Signature Tasting: Poured Grand Tasting and Bearfoot Bistro World Oyster Invitational & Bloody Caesar Battle will also return this year.
