The Tourism Authority of Thailand has teamed up with Qatar Airways on a contest that will see the winner travel to Thailand with Qatar Airways for a vacation that the tourism authority says is certain to be fascinating.
“Thailand offers a plethora of experiences for every type of traveller with its world-class cuisine, bustling and vibrant cities, and diverse landscapes with scenic views. One distinctive feature that sets Thailand apart is its diversity of destinations, activities and experiences. Although many destinations are already well visited, such as the exciting capital city of Bangkok, and the beautiful beach destinations of Krabi and Phuket, and culturally rich Chiang Mai, over 80% of the Thailand’s territory remains undiscovered by tourists,” the tourism authority says.
When visiting Bangkok, travellers can explore other lesser-known destinations that are in close proximity and offer unique experiences such as Ayutthaya, a former capital city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located just a couple hours drive north of Bangkok and is a perfect destination for a one- or multiple-day tours from Bangkok. Besides magnificent ruins of old temples, Ayutthaya is also home to one of Thailand’s newest museums – Arts of the Kingdom, which showcases classical masterpieces and national artifacts.
The heart of the northern Thailand, Chiang Mai, is in a lush mountainous region, home to charming local villages, dramatic hills and fields of rice terraces, lively night markets, and historic temples.
Thailand’s largest and world-famous island, Phuket, is a paradise steeped in natural beauty and home to picturesque beaches, cascading waterfalls, and stunning tropical forests.
The contest grand prize includes a pair of roundtrip Business Class tickets from Montreal to any Qatar Airways online destination in Thailand, 10 nights deluxe hotel accommodation with daily breakfast, private round-trip transportation between arrival airport and hotel in Thailand and one full-day sightseeing tour for two guests.
Participants are asked to check the terms and conditions. The contest closes Jan. 25, 2020.
