Home Pix of the Trade Keiki Hero Con Back At Hawaii’s Sea Life Park

Sea Life Park is bringing back Keiki Hero Con on Aug. 28, 2021 as it teams up with MANA Comics and founder, Christopher Caravalho for the event which originally debuted in 2019.

Local comic creators and artists will also be on hand to celebrate comic books, heroes, and all things super; including a host of special activities like meet-and-greets with MANA COMICS’ Sistah Shark as well as Sea Life Park’s incredible educational experiences,

When visitors enter the park, they’ll receive a collectible lanyard and keiki, get a special activity book, complete with details for a scavenger hunt throughout the grounds.

For kids, they can let their imaginations run wild at the Build-a-Hero Creation Station and draw further inspiration from panels featuring some of Hawaii’s leading comic book artists.

Visitors are also invited to stroll along Artist Alley to meet with local comic creators, and pop by the MANA COMICS photo op to practice their best hero poses! MANA COMICS will also be dropping the new “Baby Sistah Shark #2” especially timed to the event. Following the adventures of a local girl from Waimanalo with a super-secret, the comic will be available in limited quantities for purchase onsite.

And all visitors who come in costume will receive a scratch card for the chance to win a MANA COMICS collection and a special opportunity to meet a dolphin. For those that may have left their super suit at home, no need to worry — face painting will also be available at the Transformation Station.

Enjoy creative activities, booths, the Super Scavenger Hunt, an Out of This World Ring Toss, and treats from local food vendors including Windward Snow and Hawaiian Honey Cone throughout the day.

Tickets for Keiki Hero Con are available in advance online at www.sealifeparkhawaii.com and onsite at the Park’s ticket office. For kids under 3 years of age, admission is free.

The health and safety of guests and team members are a top priority at Sea Life Park, and capacity will be limited to ensure necessary social distancing.

And while the event’s activities run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees are invited to catch the last showing of the day for Aloha Nai‘a at Dolphin Lagoon, and then linger at the Beach Boy Lani for the park’s new family-friendly pau hana, Manana Mele.
