TruTravels has added the Maldives to product portfolio with two new tours in 2022.
The new trips – one Classic land-based tour and one SailVentures water-based tour — depart from January, 2022 with many inclusions covered such as accommodation, some meals (all meals while sailing, some meals on land), included activities, and a dedicated “Tru Ninja” tour guide / best travel friend throughout the trip.
Mark Pope, TruTravels co-founder, points out that the Maldives shouldn’t be a surprise given its combination of Instagram-worthy locations, all tucked away from the tourist hot-spots and available at an attractive TruTravels price.
Pope said: “There’s so much more to the Maldives than white sand beaches and luxury resorts — it’s an incredible place for a young group of people to connect with the local culture, and with each other. Our travellers are starving for social connections right now, so we’re stoked to be able to bring them all that goodness in one of the most spectacular locations in the world.”
TruTravels was acquired by G Adventures in 2018 but runs as a separate entity, retaining its unique brand identity and social style of travel.
It launched to the Canadian trade in April this year and Pope is grateful for the welcome from agents keen to sell fun-focussed tours.
He observes: “We were thrilled to onboard so many awesome Canadian travel agents. Thank you — we’re going to keep bringing you fantastic experiences for younger Canadian travellers desperate to flex their passports and get back out there to see the world — these new Maldives trips are just the beginning.”
TruTravels’ range of trips fall into four different styles of travel – the much-loved ‘Classic’ style of small-group social adventures, ‘FitVentures’ which caters to travellers seeking fitness-focused, wellbeing experiences, ‘Flashpacker’ for travellers looking to keep it rea’ with a splash of style and private accommodation, and ‘SailVentures’ that encourage travellers to live their best yacht life, combining exploration and action with ‘floatilla’ parties.
The two new Maldives trips join TruTravels’ current portfolio of 40 tours in 16 countries across Asia, South America and Europe.
