Ama Means Love

AmaWaterways has released its first-ever music video showcasing its original song, Ama Means Love (Family), which symbolizes joy and strength in unity. Filmed in Budapest, Hungary with AmaWaterways’ Lead Onboard Entertainer and musician, David Onka, the song is dedicated to travel advisor partners and loyal guests who inspire and fill the hearts of the AmaWaterways’ team with love.

The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and the music video can be viewed on AmaWaterways’ dedicated YouTube channel.

Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways, said: “Throughout our company’s 18-year history, music has been part of our DNA, influencing the naming of many ships, serving as a powerful connector and acting as a beautiful global language on board uniting people regardless of age, gender, race, color, nationality or circumstances.”

Karst continued: “In a time when many of us have felt separated, music can do so much to bring us together and stimulate wonderful, shared memories. We hope this beautiful song brightens spirits and rekindles a spark for travel over the holiday season.”

As a company that values the personal connections that are made on board its ships, AmaWaterways’ new song provides another way to unite people and raise spirits during a time when many have felt distant, especially with the coming festive season. Lyrics reflect the luxury river cruise line’s core values, reading “we are stronger together as one, as we conquer every storm … let love flow like a river, every soul. We are family.”

The music video was filmed on location in Budapest and shares scenes from AmaWaterways’ river cruises, including the authentic experiences that await family and friends ashore, as well as the warm and welcoming crew that treat each guest like part of the “AmaFamily” while on board.

The new music video is just another example of how the river cruise company has continued to remain invested and personally connected to their guests and the travel community, offering inspiration for those who are at home and dreaming of their next vacation.

AmaWaterways also continues to host its virtual Sip & Sail Cocktail Hour series, during which company executives cover topics and inspire guests to plan their future travels.

The next topic in the series will be a Virtual Holiday Cruise on Thurs., Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. EST, where AmaWaterways’ Co-Owners Karst and Gary Murphy will treat attendees to a festive program full of music and holiday cheer.
