Amex Canada partners with Air Miles

American Express Canada and the Air Miles Reward Program have partnered to take travellers and avid Air Miles collectors on a first-class journey with the launch of the new American Express Air Miles Reserve Credit Card. “For the avid reward mile Collector and refined traveller, the American Express Air Miles Reserve Credit Card puts the focus on premium travel and service experiences,”says Tracy Hendricks, vice-president, New Business Development and Rewards, American Express Canada. “Whether travelling for business or pleasure, card members can indulge in more exclusive benefits — making their time away feel extra special.”According to officials, the card breaks through barriers often associated with travel rewards programs with the introduction of Air Miles FlexFly, the first service of its kind available through the Air Miles Reward Program. Through this unique offering, Reserve card members can travel in both economy and business class with no blackout dates, use reward miles to cover taxes and fees on flight redemptions, and are given access to additional airlines, destinations and departure times not available within the current Air Miles program, exclusively to Reserve card members. “We are thrilled to be launching this elite travel experience based credit card with American Express,”said Andy Wright, president, Air Miles Reward Program. “This is the first credit card of its kind for the Air Miles program, and one that aims to provide our valued collectors with superior service and travel offerings. Our avid collectors are looking for that personalized concierge and travel experience that only American Express and Air Miles, Canada’s premier coalition loyalty program, can offer.”The American Express Air Miles Reserve Credit Card isn’t just about earning and redeeming reward miles, but about enhancing the overall travel experience, from booking to destination. Benefits include exclusive access to an Air Miles Concierge Service, offering personalized travel planning; Priority Pass worldwide lounge access; access to the Toronto Pearson Priority Security Lanes in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3; and access to Priority Limo and Taxi Lanes at Pearson. The American Express Air Miles Reserve Credit Card is available now for an annual fee of $299. (http://www.americanexpress.ca/welcomeamreserve)
