Responding to growing demand, Yankee Leisure Group is launching Amtrak Vacations and Railbookers in Canada, naming Cris David as its VP of Sales here.
David will oversee the introduction of Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations in the Canadian market and the launch into the market will support the local travel trade community, allowing agents and consumers to book in Canadian dollars.
Both brands to provide ease of access to iconic U.S. cities, treasured national parks and landscapes, and a one-stop shop for rail, accommodations, activities, transfers, ferries, and inner-city transportation for worldwide rail vacations.
In addition to offering more than 3,000 unique products in 51 countries and 690 cities, the company’s rail experts make it easy to build FIT rail vacations, such as pre- or post-river cruise train journeys, multi-country trips, long-distance overnight adventures, and getaways.

David is a well-known travel executive and sales leader who has served as president of the guided vacation brands Contiki Holidays Canada and Insight Vacations Canada. He has worked closely with agents across the country and is familiar with the industry’s opportunities and challenges as it relates to the travel retail market.
