Antigua’s Jolly Beach Resort & Spa’s Beach Body Boot Camp – which runs Aug. 2-6 – will be a party at the island’s Carnival. Guests will do some Sweet Misbehavin’, participating in J’ouvert on Carnival Monday, dancing in a troupe from daybreak to the Caribbean rhythms that are the heartbeat of Antigua. The registration fee for Beach Body Boot Camp is US$250, and participants booking their accommodation by June 30 qualify for the LifeSaver all-inclusive rate starting at US$221 per couple, per night, based on double occupancy. The Beach Body Boot Camp registration fee and the LifeSaver rates are commissionable at 20% to travel agents on all direct bookings. LifeSaver rates and commission are valid through June 30. The Fitness Challenge on Day 1 has guests get a workout on the beach and then jumping into the Caribbean for a soothing swim. The Ghallenge is the perfect warm-up for a 4:45 a.m., pre-dawn call on Day 2 for the Mount Obama off-road hike. This adventure offers views of the lush countryside and after conquering the peak, scenery that takes in the coastline and St. Johns. It’s a steep climb to the top, but guests will be back on the beach in time for breakfast with the whole day ahead to relax and play on the beach. The Day 3 Socarobics session teaches some moves to the hottest Carnival music, improves cardio, and gets participants primed for their J’ouvert debut on Carnival Monday. From daybreak till midday on Day 4, Boot Campers will have an opportunity to be part of an Antiguan troupe themed Mexican Fiesta, taking the party to the streets of St. John’s for dancing and celebration. There’s no better workout than a Caribbean Carnival jump-up called Sweet Misbehavin’. Day 5 is a day of rest, to relax and enjoy a massage or head back to Carnival City for more festivities. The Beach Body Boot Camp registration fee includes the five-day fitness program, a boot camp shirt and water bottle, a welcome cocktail and a therapeutic 30-minute massage.
