Air Canada is making some changes to its regional network, including the addition of new flights connecting Ottawa to both Fredericton and Moncton beginning Dec. 15, 2025, and non-stop flights from Vancouver to Fort McMurray starting Dec. 2, 2025. As well, the airline is increasing flights from Toronto to Sudbury as of Feb. 1, 2026.

Air Canada is embarking on a major upgrade program for its regional fleet, in order to provide customers with a heightened level of comfort and convenience. The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has asked for the mediation process to be dispensed with and that the wage component proceed directly to arbitration.
In August, Air Canada and CUPE reached a four-year tentative agreement for its flight attendants.
