IATA is reporting that passenger demand slowed to 2.6% in June 2025, a slower pace than the industry has seen in previous months.

This coming winter, Qatar Airways will be increasing its flights to more than 15 destinations around the world – including Toronto.
The airline says that the increase in flights comes in response to consumer demand in its markets around the globe and to offer greater choice and connectivity through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.

Porter Airlines is continuing to expand its network at Hamilton International Airport (YHM) with new routes to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) beginning in December.
Flights to Orlando start on Dec. 12, while service to Fort Lauderdale begins on Dec. 13, both with three weekly roundtrips. Flair Airlines has announced the launch of non-stop flights to Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez (MEX) from both Vancouver (YVR) and Toronto (YYZ). These services will start in October 2025, with three flights per week on each route.

Air Canada has announced the expansion of its multi-modal Landline coach service to connect the Norman Rogers Airport (YGK) in Kingston, ON with Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Toronto.

Air Canada reported its second quarter 2025 financial results today with the airline’s President and CEO, Michael Rousseau observing that: “Air Canada’s second quarter 2025 results showcase the airline's many strengths in the face of a challenging environment.”
