Sunwing Implementing Service Fee Changes
Sunwing is implementing changes to its airline services with new "à la carte airline options." The changes apply to seat selection, which will include the addition of Preferred seating, and baggage fees. Porter Aviation Holdings Inc.’s (Porter) wholly-owned subsidiary, Porter Aircraft Leasing Corp., has entered into sale and leaseback and pre-delivery payment (PDP) financing agreements for 12 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. TrueNoord, and certain funds managed by affiliates of Apollo (NYSE: APO) and serviced by Merx Aviation, are participating in separate transactions for six aircraft each. United, Emirates Expand Presence With New Deal
United and Emirates signed a historic commercial agreement this week, enhancing each carrier’s network and providing customers easier access to hundreds of destinations within the United States and around the world. Air Canada has announced a purchase agreement for 30 ES-30 electric-hybrid aircraft under development by Heart Aerospace of Sweden. The revolutionary regional aircraft, expected to enter service in 2028, will generate zero emissions flying on battery power and yield significant operational savings and benefits. Nanaimo-Edmonton Flights Resume In October
Direct flights between Nanaimo and Edmonton are coming back, thanks to Nanaimo Airport’s strategic business relationships and investment from WestJet. WestJet Encore will resume the service starting on Oct. 30. Flights between the two cities will run three times a week, on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
