An Air India flight bound for London, England, crashed earlier this morning at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, India. In a statement posted to its website, the airline confirms that Flight AI 171 from Ahmedabad to London, Gatwick was involved in a crash shortly after takeoff on June 12, outside the airport.
