StatsCan March figures show cross-border travel continues to decline
Statistics Canada is reporting that in March 2025, 719,500 Canadian residents flew back from the United States, representing a 13.5% decline from the same month in 2024. March 2025 also saw a 31.9% (to 1.5 million) decline of Canadian residents making return trips by automobile from the United States. This was the third consecutive month of year-over-year decline. Air Canada pledges more overhead space for A220 guests
Air Canada will be the launch customer for the Airbus Airspace cabin on the A220 family of aircraft, giving customers more overhead storage space. The first aircraft to receive the new bins are scheduled to be delivered early in 2026. The A220 Airspace cabin features new XL bins, increasing the overhead capacity of bags by more than 15 per cent, and will also include a new ceiling design and lighting.
