Orlando-based National Airlines has begun service from St. John’s International Airport to Orlando Sanford International Airport. Scheduled service is available Mondays and Fridays, departing Orlando at 9 a.m. EST. Flights will return to Orlando from St. John’s on the same days, departing St. John’s at 4 p.m. NST. Dubai Traffic Continues To Grow
Dubai Airports reports that international traffic was up by 8.1% in November 2015. In all, a total of 6,013,911 passengers during the month under review, up from the 5,565,509 recorded in November 2014. The year to date traffic in November totalled 70,961,598 passengers compared with 63,977,063 recorded during the period under review, a healthy increase of 10.9%. Etihad Airways turned in a solid operational performance in 2015, achieving continued growth in both passenger and cargo volumes. The airline carried 17.4 million passengers last year, an increase of 17% over 2014 levels, and it operated 97,400 flights which covered 467 million kilometres. Just weeks before NewLeaf Travel was set to take off in Canada, the company announced it is temporarily postponing sales of airline tickets pending a Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) review of licensing regulations for Indirect Air Service Providers.
