Air Promotion Group reports that effective immediately, Azul Brazilian Airlines (AD) will be paying travel agents 5% commission on all published fares. WestJet has applauded the leadership of the Abbotsford International Airport for dropping its airport improvement fee (AIF) by 50%, and eliminating fees for aircraft parking, bridge fees and bag-handling. Air Canada Reports Record Third Quarter
Air Canada has reported record third quarter results with an adjusted net income of $457 million or $1.55 per diluted share compared to adjusted net income of $365 million or $1.29 per diluted share in the third quarter of 2013, an improvement of $92 million or $0.26 per diluted share. Air Canada reported operating income of $526 million, an increase of $110 million from the same quarter in 2013. Air Canada Expands Intro of New Business Class
Air Canada reports that along with the addition of two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to its widebody fleet, it will expand the introduction of its new International Business Class product to include all Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, seven more than previously announced. It will also reconfigure the aircraft to include its new Premium Economy cabin.
