Porter Airlines Setting A Course To A New Future
Some six months after launching a schedule of cross-Canada routes with its new Embraer E195-E2 commercial jets, Porter Airlines is posting results that point to further expansion. IATA Reports Strong Northern Summer Travel Season
IATA reports that the post-COVID recovery momentum continued in June for passenger markets. The global airline industry association’s latest figures show that: Total traffic in June 2023 (measured in revenue passenger kilometres or RPKs) rose 31.0% compared to June 2022. Globally, traffic is now at 94.2% of pre-COVID levels. For the first half of 2023, total traffic was up 47.2% compared to the year-ago period.
