Riviera Ready For Douro River Restart
Riviera River Cruises will restart its European river cruises in July with departures on Portugal’s Douro River. The cruise company’s first departure of its eight-day Douro, Porto and Salamanca river cruise is set for July 2 aboard the MS Douro Elegance. A four-day Lisbon extension is also available on select departure dates. Following the passage of the U.S. Alaska Tourism Restoration Act, enabling cruises to Alaska without required stops in Canada, Silver Muse will resume round-trip sailings from Seattle starting July 29. Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has provided additional details of voyages scheduled to set sail from New York, Los Angeles, Port Canaveral, Fla., and Miami; and it also confirmed that its newest ship, Norwegian Encore will replace Norwegian Bliss in Alaska this summer. Costa Cruises is continuing its restart program with updates for the 2022 season and the final months of the 2021 season. Key changes relate to the cruise company’s three, newest ships – Costa Firenze, Costa Toscana and Costa Smeralda.
