The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) is making clear that it fully supports the cruise industry, announcing that it has established a National Cruise Committee (NCC) that will advocate for the sector and make it clear that it should be treated no differently than other sectors of the travel industry in Canada.
Committee members – from Canadian organizations that operate in the global cruise industry -- will act in an advisory capacity to identify cruise industry issues and provide regular updates and recommendations to TIAC’s Recovery Committee.

Riviera River Cruises will restart its European river cruises in July with departures on Portugal’s Douro River.
The cruise company’s first departure of its eight-day Douro, Porto and Salamanca river cruise is set for July 2 aboard the MS Douro Elegance. A four-day Lisbon extension is also available on select departure dates.

As it gears up for its upcoming return to Alaska, Royal Caribbean International has now announced that six of its ships will begin sailing from major U.S. cruise ports in Florida and Texas in July and August.
The summer begins with the Freedom of the Seas setting sail on a Fourth of July weekend itinerary that departs from Miami on July 2.
