It’s official, Miami’s newest ship has come in. Royal Caribbean International celebrated the homecoming of the world’s largest cruise ship with the naming ceremony of Symphony of the Seas on Nov. 15. Symphony was named by Royal Caribbean’s first-ever Godfamily, actors Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, who along with 23-month-old son Ocean, were on hand to christen the ship and bestow a blessing of safekeeping over its crew and guests. NCL’s Bliss Arrives in Miami for Winter Season
Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) newest ship, Norwegian Bliss, has made its way to Miami for the winter season, offering Eastern Caribbean sailings. Bliss will sail seven-day cruises to the Eastern Caribbean with calls to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas through March 30. In a statement released today, Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours announced that the first sailing date for Scenic Eclipse has been amended to April 13, 2019. Due to ongoing financial issues at the Uljanik shipyard in Croatia, where the Scenic Eclipse is being built, and a resultant strike by specialist engine and systems commissioning workers, this segment of the ship's completion has been delayed.
