PONANT Welcomes New Ship
PONANT has taken delivery of its newest vessel, Le Lapérouse, the first of the six EXPLORERS-class ships. Construction of the other five ships in the PONANT Explorers Series is currently underway. Le Lapérouse left the shipyard in Ålesund, Norway on June 16 and reached Reykjavik, Iceland on June 19 to begin its maiden cruise. The inauguration will take place on July 10 in Reykjavik. Scenic Delays Launch Of Eclipse
Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours said it is delaying the launch of the Scenic Eclipse until late January of 2019. The company's founder and chairman, Glen Moroney, cited construction issues within the shipyard as having caused the delay.
