Today is your last chance to vote for your favourite changemakers in the 22nd Annual Agents’ Choice Awards Readership Survey.
And yes, we know that over the past two years, you’ve faced more than your fair share of challenges, but during that time there have been many companies and individuals (think of all those business development managers) that have been making changes, taking chances and going above and beyond to make sure that Canadian travel advisors had the support they needed to stay in business or get back to business.
So, don't miss your last chance to support them...

Dubai and Israeli officials staged a joint Toronto tourism event Tuesday, a gathering Israel Tourism's Canadian director said underscored a dramatic shift in the Middle East.
Israel and the United Arab Emirates -- of which Dubai is part of -- have signed a peace treaty, leading to cordial relations between the countries, something Gal Hana said would have seemed "far-fetched" a few years ago.
Hana told the audience that a three-hour flight "connects these beautiful countries," easily enabling tourists to visit both on the same vacation.
He said there is now bridging between the...
Should female Australian adventurer Sarah Glover be dubbed Crocodile Dundette?
Well, there are likely some who might think her lifestyle in some ways recalls that of Mick Dundee, Paul Hogan's famed outdoorsman character in the popular movie Crocodile Dundee.
Among practices the two share are hunting, having a four-wheel-drive and an appreciation for chowing down on Australian game meat that's cooked in the Great Outdoors.
Tasmania-based scuba diver and cookbook author Glover was in Toronto for Tourism Australia's Australia on Tour promotion -- the latest in a series of North...

In the first extraordinary meeting of the UNWTO General Assembly, members debated the suspension of Russia from the organization, as decided by the UNWTO Executive Council at its emergency meeting last month.
The Russian delegation declined to step up and defend its position, and instead announced its withdrawal from UNWTO before the debate took place.
The Assembly voted in favour of...
ACTA is advising that some travel agencies may have overlooked the federal Canada Recovery Hiring Program (CRHP) which supports businesses experiencing sufficient recovery to hire employees or increase hours of work of existing employees.
Now that recovery is underway for many, the CRHP may be available to them, but it is expiring May 7.
The CRHP is a wage subsidy that runs parallel to the Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program (THRP) wage and rent subsidies.
Eligible employers can access either the CRHP or the THRP, but not both during the same period. Eligible employers,...
