The travel industry certainly showed it has heart as it turned out in full force to support the SickKids Foundation at TravelBrands 7th Annual Charity Golf Classic. After a two-year pause, the tournament was back, raising $283,515 for the Labatt Family Heart Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children. This week, the Globus family of brands announced that it will lift its policy requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Guests booking a vacation that begins on or after March 1, 2023, will no longer need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel on a Globus or Cosmos tour or Avalon Waterways cruise. The who’s who of Canada's travel industry teed off at the TravelBrands Annual Golf Classic at the Eagles Nest Golf Club in Maple, Ontario yesterday. And the golfers on hand for the seventh annual event were all there for a good cause. To date, TravelBrands annual tournament has raised just over $1.5 million and its new goal is to raise $3 million.
