CITC, ACTA TO JOIN FORCES

The CITC says that it should be integrated within ACTA by the end of May and the two could be sharing the same building by the end of July or early August. CITC members voted overwhelmingly in favour of to merge at their annual general meeting last night. Plans call for the CITC to become an educational division within ACTA. The future of the CITC name is unclear. “We believe that there are more strengths with the two together and that we can increase membership in the industry and support the industry better,” said CITC operations manager Christine Chilton. She said the CTC and CTM designations will continue. Chilton said ACTA’s regional councils will help give CITC initiatives a greater national presence.
