COVID-19 Land Border Tests Coming Feb. 15

Beginning Feb.15, travellers entering Canada through one of its land borders will require a negative COVID-19 PCR test that has been administered within 72 hours of their return.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement today (Feb 9) during his COVID-19 update briefing.

He also indicated that those who arrive at the border without a test could face penalties that could include a fine and follow-up to ensure that they did get tested and were quarantining.
