Home Digital Extra post Geckos goes budget friendly in Africa

Geckos Adventures has introduced three budget-friendly African safaris for the youth travel market.

Since becoming the first tour company to focus solely on the 18- to 29-year-old demographic, Geckos Adventures, Intrepid Group’s youth operator, has launched tours for travellers looking for more sustainable and cultural adventures.

The new safari tours will touch down in Kenya, Botswana and South Africa, offering “an affordable option rarely seen on wildlife tours on the continent. While it is estimated an average safari can cost between $1,000 to $1,200 per day, Geckos’ safaris will start at $1,095 for an entire nine-day tour.”

The new tours include Vic Falls & Safari, a nine-day trip starting at $1,095. The tour combines southern Africa places like Hwange and Kruger National Parks and jaw-dropping Victoria Falls. Travellers will search for the Big 5 on multiple wildlife drives and explore the Blyde River Canyon, a gigantic lush canyon in the Drakensberg escarpment.
