An inside look at a real agent-booked destination wedding

ANN RUPPENSTEIN

When it was time to start planning her destination wedding, Sakina Warren turned to the same travel agent that had organized her sister in law’s wedding to Mexico: Sharon Boissonneault of House of Travel.

“This was not our first time or our last time working with Sharon,” she said. “As soon as we were engaged we contacted Sharon to help us figure out where to have our destination wedding. She gave us plenty of options while respecting our guests’ budgets.”

Warren said working with Boissonneault helped ease the logistics of handling a large wedding group – 80 people – coming together from various provinces across Canada to the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa.

“The resort is very big and had beautiful venue spots for weddings,” said Warren. “Our guests loved the resort’s variety of activities and à la carte dinner options. Jamaica was absolutely breathtaking and we couldn’t imagine getting married on a different island.”
