IT’S GOLD FOR ACV
Air Canada Vacations (ACV) was selected as the 2013 recipient of the Gold Flower Award during the recent Switzerland Travel Mart in Bern. This annual gala event, celebrating and promoting Switzerland Tourism, is a trade show and marketplace for buyers, travel agents and media. The award celebrates ACV’s “excellent co-operation, marketing efforts and launch of additional tours to Switzerland,”says Mirko Capodanno, trade manager, Central US and Canada. Given out every two years, the Gold Flower Award considers innovative contributions to Switzerland’s travel products and Air Canada Vacations meets the high expectations with their new tour, “Cultures of Switzerland,”an enchanting excursion that explores some of the most scenic spots in all of Switzerland through such diverse cities of Zurich, Lucerne, Lugano, Lausanne and Geneva. “While Switzerland Tourism and Air Canada Vacations have been working together for a long time, the collaboration has intensified over the last few years, and the number and scope of itineraries, hotel offers and activities have significantly increased,”said Capodanno when he presented the award to Reesa Avelion, product buyer with Air Canada Vacations.
