The Intrepid Group has officially launched Peregrine Adventures in Canada, offering small group adventure tours dedicated to travellers 50 years of age and older.

The announcement comes one month Intrepid introduced its youth adventure product, Geckos Adventures, to North America.

Peregrine itineraries focus on off the beaten track adventures with plenty of the creature comforts of home. Most accommodations range from three to four stars and are a perfect option for travellers who prefer more inclusions on their trip.

“We are very excited to be introducing this brand to Canada,” says Steven Larkin, president of the Intrepid Group in Canada. “For 36 years Peregrine has been providing adventure tours all over the world, and has continued to take seasoned travellers further off the beaten trail.”

Peregrine operates trips in more than 80 countries on all seven continents. Among staple destinations like Peru and Turkey, they also introduced new itineraries this year in Azerbaijan, Algeria, Namibia and Scotland. The operator has already seen their first Canadian booking – the 14-day North Korea Expedition tour.

“The fact North Korea was the first destination booked in Canada speaks volumes to the adventure market here,” says Larkin. “Travellers keen to get further under the skin of a destination and see more of the world will surely be drawn to Peregrine’s tours.”

The Intrepid Group now represents Geckos Adventures, Intrepid Travel and Peregrine Adventures in Canada.

The Intrepid Legends loyalty program will now extend to all three operators. After their first trip travellers receive 5% off future departures and receive a free trip when they reach 10.
