Ready Safe Travel

GBTA Canada is gearing up for a series of live in-person educational events that it will be holding across Canada during the second half of October.

The Ready. Safe. Travel. Canada Workshop Series will lead the way in demonstrating the importance of safely returning to business travel and meetings, with sessions scheduled on:

  • October 19 in Vancouver
  • October 26 in Montreal
  • October 28 in Toronto

GBTA Canada advises that while it had originally planned a session in Calgary on October 21, because Alberta has moved into a State of Emergency, “we recognize that it is in everyone’s best interest to change this event.”

The Calgary date has now been moved to January 26, 2022 and will allow for the province to take necessary action to protect the health care system, increase vaccination rates, reduce the transmission of COVID-19 cases, and rollout the Alberta ‘Restriction Exemption Program’ enabling the safe gathering of individuals.

In the meantime, GBTA Canada said that it will safely continue with Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, as controlled capacity events that include heightened Covid-19 event health and safety protocols.

The full-day workshops in each city will be under the theme of Stakeholder Engagement = The Policy of the Future and will provide sessions in 6 key areas of Stakeholder Engagement, Risk Mitigation, Technology Applicability, Budget Assessment, Supplier Effectiveness and Traveller Experience.

Anyone who has the responsibility of managing aspects of business travel and corporate meetings will benefit from this workshop.

This includes Travel Buyers or Travel Managers along with corporate stakeholders in the capacity of: Executive, Finance, Human Resources, Administration, Procurement, Purchasing, Risk, Legal, Security, Internal Corporate Meetings.

At the end of this full-day program, attendees will walk away with relevant policy components that you can immediately implement within your organization.

We look forward to safely coming together to learn, network, and demonstrate the importance of returning to business travel and meetings, live-in-person.
