SKYROUTE ROLLS OUT BOOKING ENGINE

SkyRoute Travel Group Inc. (“SkyRoute”) has launched its new online Universal Booking Agent. The new booking engine allows agents to quickly view the 100 lowest flight options in a single search; see both net and reverse fares through a single sign in; and access flexible date scheduling with the 49 lowest fare flights; seamlessly book the lowest non-stop, connecting and multi-connecting fares, and up to six (6) connecting flights, at once with both international and domestic carriers. SkyRoute’s new booking engine also helps travel agents improve their ability to serve their clients through customized scheduling and PNR (meals, seats, frequent flyer programs etc.) management across all flights and, as a result, they earn more through a more comprehensive commission/bonus booking structure. Chippy Jega, chairman of SkyRoute, said: “We are very pleased and excited to provide this phenomenal new service to our travel agent partners. Combined with our Best-in-Class client service, this continues SkyRoute’s ongoing efforts to be the travel agent community’s first choice for travel.” SkyRoute plans to launch a number of new services in 2013 which the company believes will “redefine the market and take client service to a whole new level.” The air consolidator, tour operator and corporate travel service specialist is establishing new offices in both Vancouver and the New York City area. SkyRoute notes that across Canada there are an estimated 20,000 travel agencies generating over $1.7 billion dollars per year in revenues, with 40% of travellers visiting North American cities and 60% travelling to foreign destinations.
