SUNQUEST UNVEILS NEW STYLE

Sunquest’s new style of packaged vacations is now on sale across all channels. “Sunquest is an iconic brand in the Canadian travel industry,”says Sunquest vice-president Steve Butchart. “It was a pioneer in its field when it started operations more than 40 years ago, and with this new business model that offers a completely new way to create a packaged vacation, it continues its innovation traditions to better meet the needs of today’s consumers who are looking for more choice and flexibility with great value.”Offering an expanded program from previous years, with hundreds of hotels in the Caribbean, Mexico and Costa Rica, the new Sunquest continues to offer all of the long-time favourites – Jamaica, the Bahamas, Aruba, etc. – alongside introducing expanded programs in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, as well as new programs in the Turks & Caicos, Bermuda and Barbados, among others. Rather than having to adhere to a set schedule or predefined duration, Sunquest packages include the customer’s choice of airline from such featured flying partners as WestJet, Air Canada and a selection of US carriers, all of which offer regular and frequent flights, and combine it with any featured hotel to create a package that includes return transfers, the services of an in-resort representative during their stay, and the ability to stay for however long they wish – whether it’s just for one night, a long weekend, a week or two, a few weeks or more. “Following in the footsteps of the very successful FunSun Vacations packages that we launched earlier this year, which continues with a comprehensive program in the US, the new Sunquest packages also offer customers tremendous value by taking the most direct and least expensive scheduled seat fare available the instant the customer wants to book and combining it with their hotel of choice to create a completely customized package at a great price,”says Butchart. As part of the new model, Sunquest will also offer up to 16 different flight options with every search, allowing customers to further customize their package based on travel days, flight times and/or price. For instance, customers can choose to fly to their destination of choice via the US instead of direct and take advantage of even more savings. All packages are live in the system and available on all booking platforms (Sirev, Sabre Vacations, Amadeus and Galileo). They are also available in Revnet (the blue screen) and on SunquestAgent.ca. Sunquest now requires full payment to be made at the time of booking. It has also introduced much lower penalties in case of cancellation – if a booking is cancelled outside 45 days of departure, customers will receive a full refund minus $75. The same applies to any US package booked through FunSun Vacations. Agents also benefit with the introduction of this new program earning Loyalty Points on every booking – 575 points per room and 287 points per single. These points can be exchanged for travel, merchandise, gift cards and more. (http://www.SunquestAgent.ca)
