THAT’S INCREDIBLE!
Things look pretty good at Travel Counsellors Canada these days. The company has been having an “incredible” first quarter in 2013, reporting that its sales were up by 60% for the first three months, compared to the previous year. Global sales for the company are up by 11%. And it also revealed that sales per Travel Counsellor were up by 12% for the period, reflecting the success of each Travel Counsellor on an individual basis. Travel Counsellor Canada’s general manager, Anita Emilio said of the results: “We’re delighted that our success in January has continued into February and March. Our business model which allows Travel Counsellors to build strong lasting relationships with their customers is clearly what Canadian consumers want. We are not here to make a quick sale, instead we recognize the importance of building trust and finding the right holiday to suit our customer’s needs. Although many businesses in the past may have identified that it is important to put the customer first, few really deliver. Our approach does, and our incredible growth validates this.” The company reports that in addition to the traditional package holiday bookings to the Caribbean which remain popular, there’s also been a trend in bookings to Europe for the summer holiday period. “The fact that we’re doing so well helps to prove that our business model holds many of the answers for the future of travel,” Emilio said.
