Travel Gay Canada will bring together tourism professionals from across North America for a two-day conference in Windsor in October that’s designed to help businesses and destinations understand how to market to the $8.5 billion LGBT travel market.

Set for Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, the Travel Without Borders conference will cover such topics as “Trends with Benefits” by speaker Max Valiquette named one of Canada’s “most influential marketers;” “Leveraging Social Media to Grow LGBT Market Share;” “Understanding the Canadian LGBT Travel Market;” and “Research and Insights into China – the largest LGBT market in the world is open for business.”

Travel Gay Canada president, Colin Sines said: “We have a dynamic program with speakers from across North America that will allow delegates to leave with a strong knowledge of who the LGBT market is and how they can develop their own LGBT marketing strategy.”

Sines pointed out that: “LGBT travellers spend nearly twice as much per trip in Canada than other visitors and the trend shows this number has been increasing every year. There are very few market segments that have been showing this growth for several years, can’t imagine any business not wanting to attract this market segment.”
